Stafford is a mixed-use development for 3CDC which combines 3 historic buildings on the corner of 13th and Walnut into commercial spaces and 11 residential units. The scope was originally 2 buildings, but after 1233 Walnut partially collapsed from deterioration, the decision was made to incorporate it into the project and stabilize it. The variety of spaces offered the chance to create dramatically different units across the project, from 370 sf "micro" apartments, to 2-story lofted townhouses. The small footprints allowed for more efficient and affordable apartments, catering to people looking to live in this walkable, vibrant, urban neighborhood.
