Christ the King Church sought a new home to respond to the growth of their congregation, and they hired Platte A+D to transform an existing, dated, church building into a contemporary place of worship. Our design goal was to create a "cool and edgy" design that would be sacred and social. The new design includes a 300-seat sanctuary with connecting narthex/coffee bar, a classroom and administrative wing, handicapped accessibility with new accessible restrooms, a multi-purpose family life area with kitchen, and a new contemporary covered entry with raised terrace.
